न जायते म्रियते वा कदाचि- न्नायं भूत्वा भविता वा न भूयः। अजो नित्यः शाश्वतोऽयं पुराणो न हन्यते हन्यमाने शरीरे॥
यह आत्मा न कभी जन्म लेती है, न मरती है। यह न कभी उत्पन्न होती है, न समाप्त होती है। अजन्मा, नित्य और पुरातन यह आत्मा शरीर के नष्ट होने पर भी नष्ट नहीं होती।
This self is never born and never dies; it does not come into being and then cease to be. Unborn, constant, and ancient, it is not destroyed when the body is destroyed.
