What a hora is
A hora is a planetary hour. The day from sunrise to sunset is divided into 12 equal parts and the night into 12 more, so a hora is not a clock hour: it grows and shrinks with the season.
The first hora of the day belongs to the planet that rules that weekday (the Sun on Sunday, the Moon on Monday), and the seven planets then follow in a fixed order.
