When Arjuna questions how Krishna could have instructed the Sun God Vivasvan at the beginning of cosmic time, Lord Krishna reveals the divine mystery of His divine descent (Avatara Tattva): while mortals are bound by karma, the Supreme manifests through His own Yoga-Maya whenever righteousness declines and cosmic balance demands restoration.
Philosophical Essence & Commentary
Verse 7 delineates the cosmic condition for the Avatara: the decline of Dharma and the ascendancy of Adharma.
