The Prathama Pujya: Why Ganesha is Worshipped First
Before any deity is invoked, before any foundation stone is laid, and before any ceremony begins, Ganesha must be worshipped first. According to Puranic lore, when the gods competed to encircle the universe first, Kartikeya raced upon his peacock across all worlds. Ganesha simply walked around his parents—Shiva and Parvati—declaring that the parents embody the entire cosmos.
